Brighter Day Cafe is exactly that a BRIGHTER DAY the food is amazing the service is always great the steak omelette is my go too every time I’m in the area for work this is my #1 breakfast spot
Live in Chesapeake but was in Suffolk for the car show and craving breakfast. This place is family owned, retired veteran and was perfect. 80's themed, we were in heaven remembering all the things from those days. Got the breakfast special with corned beef hash and hash browns, both crispy. Eggs over medium were perfectly runny but whites cooked all the way I asked for if I could sub a pancake vs toast and the owner/waitress giggled. When it came to the table I knew why.... It was the size of a small child full plate size. Left taking only half the pancake home and the rest in my belly Thank you for an excellent experience.
I recently visited a charming mom-and-pop breakfast cafe that has quickly become my favorite spot. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, with vintage and unique decor that adds to the cozy, free-spirited vibe of the place. It's a perfect blend of nostalgia and comfort. The food is not only delicious but also very affordable, making it a great choice for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Whether you're in for a hearty breakfast or just a quick coffee, this cafe offers a delightful experience that feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended!
Food was great. Great vibe! Kind owner and staff. Extremely reasonably priced food. With the quality even better.
Another great breakfast. The hostess works very hard and remembers your previous order. Very personable.
This place really means a lot to me. Not just because of the amazing food and staff but a few years ago my boyfriend at the time and I decided to stop by after skydiving. Which happened to be one of our very first dates. We bonded over the music and the hilarious sayings on the walls. Since we live in NC, we weren’t able to go a lot which is unfortunate but the 5-6 times we came, it was an amazing experience. On Thursday morning around 10:30, my mom and I came in before heading to Chesapeake (That boyfriend will be my husband next Saturday ) to do last minute wedding shopping. The experience was just as amazing as before and it makes me so happy seeing a business take a stand and fight for their beliefs instead of worrying about hurting feelings and going “woke” Thank you for being a voice This place will always be an amazing memory for us.
What a great Local place to grab breakfast, or lunch. So happy we finally stopped in. REALLY SUPER NICE OWNERS. AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES BRIGHTER DAY SPECIAL. I may have to order lunch when we leave. Bring them Family this place is great. Thanks to the Owners and staff. Keep doing what you do !!!
New to the area and was looking for a breakfast spot. Ive seen them before as I’ve walked by exploring the area. I must say the food is GREAT, affordable and filling. It gave a “home cooked” feel. I had the French toast with eggs bacon and hash-browns. The customer service was great, the owners were extremely nice and welcoming. Now I will warn you, the wall decor is interesting…I personally found it entertaining. If you can get past that and not be offended then you will be able to enjoy yourself. I was there for the food and they delivered. I’ll definitely go back.
